Who I am beyond design

More than a designer, I'm a natural visual storyteller at heart - endlessly beguiled by people. I bring this curiosity into all my professional relationships, design processes and creative projects.

I feel most alive when travelling, capturing my adventures on my beloved Minolta SRT101. I love comedy and think it’s essential to laugh at work.

My inspirations and interests

I adore art - in particular drawing, photography and filmmaking. I'm drawn to natural and alternative photographic processes and my latest obsession is making cyanotype and anthotype prints using native Irish plants.

I'm also an avid painter and I'm currently working on a series of oil paintings inspired by Polaroid photographs taken from the high-speed Shinkansen train in Japan.

I like to keep fit with Pilates and strength training and I love swimming in the sea. I aim to read a book a month - both fiction and non-fiction - especially psychology.

Spending time in nature makes me feel calm, grounded and happy - I love discovering wild camping spots in my trailer. I'm a huge foodie and love going on food tours while travelling - my cat's name is Rayu, after peanut rayu. 🙃
